Japanese musician Cornelius announced two special domestic concerts set in Tokyo and Osaka this summer, entitled Cornelius Performs Point.
The concerts will be similar in concept to the veteran pop artist’s well-received 2016 North American tour called Cornelius Performing Fantasma, which was structured around songs from his 1997 album.
Cornelius, born Keigo Oyamada, kicked off the 2000s with the release of his fourth album, Point, in 2001. The 11-track experimental album was highly acclaimed at the time and is still popular today. A remastered CD will be released this summer.
The Osaka show is scheduled for Aug. 12 at the Sankei Hall Breeze, while the Tokyo concert is set for Aug. 21 at the Orchard Hall in Shibuya. Early tickets are currently available through Cornelius’s official website until April 24, and will go on sale June 8.
