Janet Jackson postponed last night’s (Aug. 28) show in Philadelphia and tonight’s show in Charlotte, N.C., due to a recurring respiratory problem. Jackson has also canceled a planned Thursday show in Birmingham, Ala. These mark the seventh, eighth, and ninth dates not to go off as scheduled on the artist’s All for You tour, which comes in support of her chart-topping Virgin album of the same name.
The Philadelphia show has been rescheduled for Friday. Tickets from the Aug. 28 show will be honored for the Friday performance. Birmingham ticketholders can obtain refunds at point of purchase.
The All for You tour has been rocky since its kick-off. Last week, a show at New York’s Madison Square Garden had to be moved forward a day due to scheduling conflicts wIth the WNBA playoffs. Earlier this month, Jackson’s bout with the flu forced the postponement of shows in Cleveland, Indianapolis, and Pittsburgh.
Additionally, a show in Milwaukee was scotched when Jackson needed emergency dental surgery. The North American tour’s maiden show in Vancouver was postponed because an integral piece of the stage set didn’t arrive in time for rehearsals and the planned premiere performance.
