Jake Miller, the 20-year-old singer-songwriter with a flair for tossed-off rapping between his hooks, will release his new EP, “The Road Less Traveled,” on Tuesday (Apr. 9) on eOne Music. Before next week’s release, check out Miller’s engaging pop stylings on the sunny new track “Let You Go,” launching exclusively on Billboard.com:
Fans had already received a taste of the Florida native’s unique style through his affecting single “A Million Lives,” which received an official music video in February; previously, Miller has thrown out videos for tracks like “Like Me” and “I’m Alright,” which have both cleared over a million YouTube views. But “Let You Go” offers a new look for Miller: the gentle, piano-driven production abets the singer’s romantic pangs on the track.
“This song really sets the tone for this EP,” Miller says of “Let You Go.” “It just has a great summer time vibe to it. [The song’s] definitely one of my favorite records I’ve ever made.”
Following next week’s EP release, Miller heads out on the road for a spring tour, kicking off Apr. 11 in Bryan, Tex. The singer-songwriter will also perform at the Skate and Surf Festival in Freehold, N.J. on May 18.
