R&B outfit Jagged Edge has set a Sept. 30 release date for its next Columbia album, “Hard.” A commercial single for lead track “Walked Outta Heaven” was released on Tuesday. The cut is No. 41 this week on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart.
“Hard” is the follow-up to 2001’s “Jagged Little Thrill,” which debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 1.5 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The set spawned the No. 1 R&B/Hip-Hop hit “Where the Party At,” which featured a guest shot by Nelly.
Since that album, Jagged Edge has guested on tracks with Fabolous and P. Diddy, as well as Nas and Bow Wow. As previously reported, the group appears on Bow Wow’s new album, “Unleashed,” which was released Tuesday in the U.S.
