Michael Jackson was taken to a Santa Maria, Calif. hospital with the flu this morning (Feb. 15), delaying jury selection for a week in the singer’s child molestation trial.
Judge Rodney Melville told prospective jurors that Jackson had the flu and that jury selection would resume Feb. 22. Lawyers were expected back in court later today to discuss unspecified motions.
As reported yesterday, the defense witness list in the case includes Jackson’s own children and a variety of celebrities, among them Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and actress Elizabeth Taylor.Copyright 2005 Associated Press.
