They say nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come, and an artist whose ideas have come to bright fruition is a powerful force indeed.
Jackal is no newcomer to the scene. With songs out on OWSLA, Mad Decent, Buygore, and more, he’s established a strong fanbase, yet his latest releases show a maturing sense of musicality, and maybe even a more emotional honesty.
“Summer in Your Arms” is warm and soft like a lover’s touch, which goes well with the sweet nothings singer Josh Congress whispers all over its breezy beat. It follows the bedroom-y “Feel It,” both singles from Jackal’s upcoming Endorphins EP, which judging by the sound of it will be one sexy, smooth experience.
