J Scavo will be leaving his post at Disney and joining Warner Bros. Records as Senior Vice President and Digital Marketing, a Warner spokesperson confirmed to Billboard.biz today. He starts his new job on Monday.
Scavo has been Disney’s VP of Global Digital Marketing since January of last year; he’d previously held a marketing post at Disney’s Hollywood Records from 2000 until 2006. In the intervening years he was general manager of Myspace Records.
Scavo’s appointment follows two high-profile departures from Warner’s digital department: Jeremy Welt left his post as senior VP of new media in June after six years at the helm of the digital department. And former digital head Jack Isquith, who recently joined Slacker, left the company in November.
