
In 2014, J. Cole bossed up by taking his Dreamville Records label (formed in 2007) and partnering up with Interscope Records, thanks to president of urban music Joie Manda.
Two years later, the Dreamville team — comprised of rappers Bas, Cozz and Omen with Cole’s manager, Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad, as president — has accompanied Cole on his Forest Hills Drive tour while also rolling out their own respective projects. The crew even banded together for the compilation mixtapes 2014’s Revenge of the Dreamers and 2015’s Revenge of the Dreamers II.
