Apple Computer today (Nov. 1) is launching a new mini-store within the U.S. version of the iTunes Music Store dedicated to Latin music and entertainment.
iTunes Latino features top Latin music, music videos, television shows, audiobooks and podcasts. Apple says it has a catalog of hundreds of thousands Latin and international music tracks. Genres include Regional Mexicano, Rock Alternativo, Baladas y Boleros, Pop Latino, Reggaeton and Hip-Hop. Available artists include David Bisbal, Daddy Yankee, Aterciopelados, Marco Antonio Solis, Paulina Rubio, Mana, Cafe Tacuba and Luny Tunes y Tainy. It also has exclusive music videos from Juanes, Mach & Daddy and Luis Fonsi.
Additionally, Apple has inked a deal with Telemundo to feature television programming including “Pasion de Gavilanes” “‘El Cuerpo del Deseo.” and “Decisiones.” iTunes Latino will also feature bilingual programs from Telemundo’s Latino youth network mun2, including reality content such as “mun2: The Immigration Special.”
