Adam Lowenberg has been appointed senior VP of marketing at Island Records. He reports to Steve Bartels, president of Island Records and COO of Island Def Jam Music Group, and is based in New York.
In his new role, Lowenberg will oversee all marketing activities on behalf of Island Records. The Island product managers will report directly to him and he will be responsible for all key Island Records releases including The Killers, Fall Out Boy, The Bravery, Bon Jovi, Mariah Carey, Sum 41 and more.
Most previously, Lowenberg spent the past year in the role of senior VP of marketing at Virgin Records. Prior to Virgin, he served as VP of marketing at Arista Records, a role he held from 2001 to 2005. Additionally, he has held various roles in marketing and sales at Chrysalis Records and EMI Records.
