The latest supporter of PassAlong Networks is the Internet Online Distribution Alliance (IODA), which has agreed to make its catalog available to any digital music service using the p2pRevolution software created by the business-to-business service. IODA represents more than 750 independent labels.
PassAlong Networks unveiled its new p2pRevolution platform in August. The service allows users to create branded, customized music community applications. Companies can use the software to offer their exclusive content to members, issue event notifications and allow users to trade protected files via e-mail and instant messaging services.
Other labels supporting the PassAlong system include all four major labels and the Orchard.
