Interpol have long seemed like the sort of band whose LP you’d throw on the turntable while you drink alone (preferably in a wood-paneled room), contemplate your sorrows, and maybe even cry. Finally, the band has given us a video for just that.
In the Markus Lundvist directed clip for the El Pintor highlight, our protagonist spends his time drowning his sorrows while Interpol plays what must have been its first bar gig in ages.
El Pintor debuted at at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 Sept. 17 with 31,000 units sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The band kicks off a North American tour Nov. 6 in St. Petersburg, Fla.
