Music industry veteran Charlie Brusco has formed a joint venture with Chicago-based promoter Jam Productions and Nashville-based Outback Concerts, Billboard.biz has learned. Brusco, Jam and Outback, under the new Boomerang Live banner, will book and promote concerts in the Atlanta region and program festivals out West.
Boomerang Live will exclusively book night club and country music hall Wild Bill’s in Atlanta, and serve as a booking consultant for the Frederick Brown Amphitheatre in Peachtree City, Ga., a 2,400-capacity venue 55 miles South of Atlanta.
Boomerang will also take on the strategic booking consultants role for Jazz Aspen June 19-22 in Aspen and Aug. 29-Sept. 1 in Snowmass, Colo., and the Sonoma (Calif.) Jazz Festival Memorial Day Weekend.
“I’m very excited to be in business with (Jam founders) Arny Granat and Jerry Mickelson, who have been friends with me for over 30 years and promoted my acts in the Midwest for years,” Brusco tells Billboard.biz. “And (Outback founder) Mike Smardak is one of the more creative promoters out there.”
Brusco’s Alliance Artists is still an Atlanta-based management company, with Styx, American Idol Ace young, the Outlaws, Survivor and Thin Lizzy as clients.
