But it was the star-studded ‘Weekend Update’ segment, which functioned as a send-off for anchor Seth Meyers, that turned up the buzz. Meyers is soon to be off to host NBC’s “Late Night,” as Jimmy Fallon becomes host of “The Tonight Show” on Feb. 17. ‘SNL’ alums Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg and Fred Armisen joined Meyers and co-anchor Cecily Strong at the ‘Weekend Update’ desk to bid Meyers farewell.
