Hitmaking British songwriter Cathy Dennis has signed a worldwide, multi-year publishing deal with Imagem Music U.K.
Dennis has played a huge part in contemporary pop culture over the past 15 years, and is recognized as one of the most successful British female songwriters of her generation.
The singer-turned-songwriter has five Ivor Novello Awards to her name, and her credits include “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” (performed by Kylie Minogue), “Toxic” (Britney Spears), and “Come Into My World” (Minogue), which won a Grammy Award in 2004 for Best Dance Recording.
A popular solo singer earlier in her career, Dennis has written works for such artists as Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Céline Dion, Janet Jackson, Pink and Christina Aguilera.
In 2006, she was honored with the “Woman Of The Year” title during a ceremony at London’s InterContinental Hotel.
The new publishing arrangement covers all new material and came into effect from August 1.
“I’m very excited to be working with the Imagem team and to expand on my catalogue with new opportunities,” Dennis comments in a statement.
Imagem Music’s expanding pop catalog includes such writers as Pink Floyd, Elvis Presley, Ludacris, Sammy Cahn, Phil Collins, Genesis, Iron Maiden, Mark Ronson, Temper Trap, Steve Robson, M.I.A., Bombay Bicycle Club and Daft Punk.
