Where the original is relatively downtempo, with a simple, trudging beat and emotional chords, Illenium’s turns up the brightness and amps up the electric feel with big blasts of melody, strumming guitar, and live drums. It reflects, in that sense, the live work showcased on his recently-released LP Awake.
The producer-turned-live-act shared the bill with REZZ, Zeds Dead, and many more. Watch this fan-caught clip of Illenium’s “Silent” remix below.
I have so many filthy videos that I will eventually post but tonight Illenium’s set really took me to such a happy place. When he dropped Feel Good I cried for the first time ever at a music festival but they were tears of joy!! Lost Lands was one of the greatest weekends of my life, I haven’t been this happy in a long time. Danced all weekend, met some amazing people, and I don’t want to leave!! Here’s a remix by @illeniummusic of @marshmellomusic & @thegr8khalid’s track Silence. —-♥?#LostLands
