Z100, the well-known New York City Top 40 radio station, has announced the appointment of Mark Medina as its new program director. Medina’s move follows news that Sharon Dastur, the station’s previous program director, is moving to iHeartMedia’s national team as senior vice president of programming integration.
Dastur’s job, a new one at iHeartMedia, will focus on cross-promotion between agencies and labels.
“Sharon is a top line talent with great programming, event and artist expertise. Her programming and station knowledge will be an incredible asset across our entire organization nationwide,” said Clay Hunnicutt, evp of national programming platforms for iHeartMedia, in a statement.
Medina will stay on with iHeartMedia as a talent development coach.
