In 1990, Marilyn Laverty left Columbia Records after 13 years there to start Shore Fire Media, taking Bruce Springsteen with her. More recently, Tree Paine left Warner Music Nashville in 2014 to form Premium PR when Taylor Swift hired her after splitting with longtime publicist Paula Erickson.
