Roger Waters takes the No. 1 ranking among this week’s Top 10 Hot Tours with the highest concert box office ticket sales total reported so far in 2012. With almost 100,000 tickets sold at Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo, Brazil, the rock legend grossed more than $12.5 million from performances on April 1 and 3. Of all the concert grosses reported to Billboard since the beginning of the year, the top four all come from The Wall Live Tour. The second highest ticket sales total reported this year was from a four-show run at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena where Waters grossed $6.9 million from sold out performances on Feb. 7, 8, 10 and 11. Four sellouts at Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand produced $6.1 million on Feb. 18, 20, 22 and 23, and a single concert at Estádio Beira-Rio in Porto Alegre, Brazil grossed $5.9 million on March 25 with over 42,000 fans in attendance.

Maná ranks second this week with more than $3.9 million in ticket sales revenue reported from three sold out concerts at Staples Center in Los Angeles. With shows on April 18, 19 and 25, the Grammy-winning Mexican rock band drew a combined total of 41,079 fans for all three nights. This recent three-show run raises the group’s overall number of sellouts at the L.A. venue to 11. Last summer the band played four nights at the arena (June 23-26, 2011), selling out all four shows and grossing more than $5.1 million. Another four-show stint at Staples Center in September 2007 produced $4.3 million in sold tickets from sellout crowds at all performances.
No. 4 on this week’s Hot Tours tally is Bob Dylan with totals reported from the first five venues on his 2012 concert tour that kicked off in Brazil. Rio de Janeiro was the first stop on the itinerary with a performance at Citibank Hall on April 15. Next was an April 17 concert at Ginásio Nilson Nelson in the Brazilian capitol city of Brasília, followed by a show at Chevrolet Hall in Belo Horizonte on April 19. Two concerts at Sáo Paulo’s Credicard Hall on April 21 and 22 were followed two nights later with a performance at Pepsi On Stage in the southern city of Porto Alegre. Dylan is in the final days of his Latin American tour leg and will be performing in Europe during June and July.
