David Banner, Chingy and Lil’ Jon & the EastSide Boyz will co-headline the Dirty South Mixtape Tour, set to launch tomorrow (July 31) in Jackson, Miss. Also featuring the Ying Yang Twins, Killer Mike and T.I., the trek will include 15 dates, wrapping Aug. 31 in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The tour boasts some of the hottest rappers in the industry right now. David Banner, Chingy and Lil Jon & the EastSide Boyz all currently have albums in the top half of The Billboard 200, led by Chingy’s “Jackpot” (Disturbing Tha Piece/Capitol), which entered the chart last week at No. 2. “Kings of Crunk,” the TVT set from Lil’ Jon & the EastSide Boys, was at No. 34 last week, and Banner’s “Mississippi: The Album” (Universal) was at No. 58.
Party rap group the Ying Yang Twins will release their third album, “Me & My Brother,” Sept. 16 via TVT. The group guests on the latest single from Lil’ Jon & the EastSide Boys, “Get Low,” which was up to No. 16 last week on Billboard’s Hot 100.
