‘You’ Too
Latin singer Thalia this week releases her English-language debut through Virgin. The first single from “Thalia” is “I Want You” with Fat Joe. The track has climbed to a new high of No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 22 on Billboard’s Top 40 Tracks chart. The Mexican superstar worked with a host of producers on the album, including Steve Morales (Christina Aguilera, Enrique Iglesias), Rick Wake (Anastacia, Marc Anthony), and Cory Rooney (Jennifer Lopez, Destiny’s Child).
Last year, Thalia released a Spanish-language Fonovisa/EMI Latin album under the same title. Earlier this year, the album was named the Latin pop album of the year, female at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in Miami. The set debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Pop Albums and Top Latin Albums charts, and No. 126 on The Billboard 200.
Thalia’s influence is also currently being felt in the clubs, as an album of remixes from the Spanish version of “Thalia” is No. 4 on Billboard’s Top Electronic Albums chart.
