MTV Networks (MTVN) Germany in Berlin has appointed Jurgen Hopfgartner as director digital media G/S/A (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) with immediate effect.
In the newly-created role, Hopfgartner will be responsible for the business and product development of MTVN’s online and mobile distribution in the region.
This will see a hike in the digital distribution of MTVN-branded content from the music-TV channels MTV and VIVA, NICK’s kids programming, and comedy network Comedy Central. The content will be created both through strategic partnerships and in-house.
Hopfgartner was previously head of business development at Metaversum GmbH, the Swiss digital-entertainment service developer, in Zurich. He reports to Martin Michel, senior VP commercial and operations at MTVN in Berlin.
