The inaugural Asian-based B2B exhibition and conference event AMAZIA has had a huge boost with the news that 200 music companies have committed to attend.
Alison Wenham, president of Worldwide Independent Network and chair/CEO of AIM, threw her support behind the Nov. 17-20 Hong Kong confab.
“A new event focusing on Asia is timely. We welcome the organisation of AMAZIA to attract new business to this huge, relatively undeveloped music market,” she said in a statement issued from Midem today.
“The reaction to AMAZIA has been excellent,” adds Franz Caduc, director of AMAZIA, “and confirms that there is a real interest in the remarkable Asian television, music and gaming sectors, and in the idea of bringing together these different entertainment strands with the multitude of content distribution platforms at a single, international event.”
AMAZIA will focus on the creation and distribution of international entertainment content across all delivery platforms. The event is organized by Reed Midem, which oversees the Midem and MidemNet trade fair.
