The Hives, Slipknot, the Polyphonic Spree and Le Tigre have been added to the lineup for the annual Big Day Out festival tour of Australia and New Zealand. Other acts new to the bill are Atmosphere, Carl Cox, Blues Explosion, Kid 606 and Hatebreed.
They join previously confirmed acts the Beastie Boys, the Donnas, the Chemical Brothers, System Of A Down and the Music. Not all artists will appear at all shows on the tour, which begins Jan. 21 in Auckland and wraps Feb. 6 in Perth.
As usual, Big Day Out will also play host to top acts from Australia and New Zealand, including the D4, Regurgitator, Spiderbait, Grinspoon, Powderfinger, Little Birdy and Steriogram.
Additional acts are expected to join the lineup.
