Ricky Harris, the actor and comedian who lent his voice to a slew of hip-hop recordings, has reportedly died after suffering a heart attack. He was 54.
Harris gave voice to hip-hop characters DJ EZ Dicc, TaaDow, and Saul-T-Nutz in albums by Snoop Dogg and Tha Dogg Pound. He also starred in such films as Heat, Dope and This Christmas and had roles in such TV series as Chris Rock’s Everybody Hates Chris, CSI: Miami and NYPD Blue.
The hip-hop world is mourning Harris’ death on social media. Snoop Dogg led tributes to the performer, who he described as “my big brother, my homeboy,” adding that he was “on his way to heaven now.”
