Hillary Clinton declared victory Tuesday night in her grueling battle for the Democratic presidential nomination, in doing some becoming the first woman to lead a major American political party.
The #ImWithHer hashtag immediate began trending as artists, celebs, thinkers, business leaders and many others took to social media to applaud and recognize Clinton’s historic achievement.
“Tonight’s victory is not about one person,” Clinton said during an emotional rally in Brooklyn, eight years to the day after she ended her first failed White House run. “It belongs to generations of women and men who struggled and sacrificed and made this moment possible.”
