Longtime concert promoters Andrew Hewitt and Bill Silva Presents have negotiated a deal with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association to continue producing summer concerts at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl through 2011.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Hewitt and Silva, who have jointly promoted concerts at the 17,300-seat outdoor venue for the past 18 years, will be the exclusive promoter of events outside of the Philharmonic’s regular summer season, which runs from October through June.
The Hollywood Bowl’s 2009 summer concert season will be announced on March 16, according to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles venue.
Last summer at the Hollywood Bowl, Hewitt and Silva presented such artists as Stevie Wonder, Neil Diamond, the Cure, Stone Temple Pilots, Radiohead, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the Police and Van Morrison.
The pair has also promoted concerts at the venue for the Rolling Stones, Morrissey, Genesis, Roger Waters, the Who and Dave Matthews Band, among others.
