Startup mobile operator Helio unveiled its Helio Player PC software package to allow customers to manage their digital music and other content across their home computers and mobile phones.
The technology gives Helio Music members the ability to buy music on their computer and transfer it to their phone. This includes subscription music downloaded from such services as Napster or Rhapsody. It also manages over-the-air purchase from the Helio Music Service.
RealNetworks developed the technology, but it has no direct integration with the Rhapsody music service other than the ability to transfer files. The new software also manages the transfer of photos and videos between PC and phone.
