When Harry Styles crossed the finish line of his Late Late Show marathon, he wasn’t hunched over, sweating and sucking in air. Nope, he did it on four wheels.
The pair bashed out the British singer’s No. 1 solo hit “Sign of the Times,” and “Sweet Creature,” both lifted from his debut solo album, Harry. Styles confessed he sometimes gets swept away with emotion when he performs “Times.” Sure he cries, but he insists he does it in “a cool way” (whatever that means). His mom also cried when she heard the album. And being a Styles, she did it in “a cool way,” we learned.
Styles and Corden also tried out some dodgy clubbing threads, smashed out OutKast’s “Hey Ya” and the Lionel Richie/ Diana Ross duet “Endless Love” (guess who took on Diana duties), and rehearsed lines from Notting Hill (“why do I always have to be Julia Roberts?”) and Titanic.
It’s not the first time Styles has cruised with Corden. As a member of 1D, he got the special tour of Los Angeles back in December 2015, though on that occasion he was wedged between Liam and Louis in the back middle. He’s moved up in the world since then.
Styles brought the curtain down on his Late Late Show run in the conventional manner, with a performance of “Kiwi.”
