Halsey celebrated their 27th birthday on Wednesday (Sept. 29) by posting the first photos of their baby Ender’s face. The singer, who turned 27, captioned the snap, “The best birthday gift there is” with a little rocket emoji.
In the first snap, baby Ender Ridley Aydin — who was born on July 14 — has a sly, cute smile as the little one rocks a colorful, primary-colored onesie and blue hat.
In a second pic, the infant looks a bit more contemplative, staring off into the distance with a wry look.
After the baby’s birth, Halsey posted a pair of black-and-white images of the newborn resting on their chest while the singer-songwriter gazed lovingly at their partner, Alev Aydin.
The singer revealed in late January that she was pregnant and expecting their first child, and that the father is boyfriend Aydin. Two weeks ago, Halsey explained in a series of tweets why they didn’t attend the Met Gala after fans wondered about the absence. She said they had a very relatable reason for skipping out: She’s still breastfeeding and didn’t feel comfortable being at the event. The singer shared that “postpartum does not discriminate.”
“I’m still breastfeeding <3 I only had my baby 7 weeks ago. There’s nothing more ‘American fashion’ than moms having to go back to work after just giving birth lol,” Halsey wrote. The message came after a fan asked why she wasn’t at the star-studded fashion event, which the artist attended in 2019.
Last week, Saturday Night Live announced the lineup for the upcoming 47th season, which will include a visit from Halsey on Oct. 9 along with host Kim Kardashian.
