Hailee Steinfeld is the new face of celebrity-owned activewear company, Mission. The brand, which tapped Steinfeld to promote their new VaporActive apparel line, not only counts professional athletes Dwane Wade, Serena Williams and Reggie Bush as fans, but also equity owners. And Steinfeld herself wore the newest line’s sports bra, compression shorts, and Hydro-Active Max Cooling towel in her music video for new single, “Most Girls”.
“We probably spent a year and a half researching who would be the best person to partner with,” Josh Shaw, Mission’s founder and chief executive officer, told WWD. “We looked to hardcore athletes in individual sports, team sports, singers and actresses. Hailee’s approach to life and how she has succeeded at such an early age connects with our DNA as a brand and a company.”
And Steinfeld, who likes Mission’s pieces for their mix of comfort, innovation and technological utility, agrees. “I’ve grown up in an innovation generation where speed, style and science work together seamlessly, and Mission embodies the same philosophy”.
