Gwen Stefani said she and her fellow Voice coaches are shocked and horrified by the death of season 6 contestant Christina Grimmie.
“Everybody, you know, is shaken,” Stefani said during an interview Monday when asked about Grimmie’s death. “It’s just a shock and… it makes me feel totally vulnerable.”
Grimmie, a 22-year-old singer and YouTube star from New Jersey, was killed last week as she signed autographs after a show in Orlando. Authorities say she apparently had no personal connection to the man who shot her and then fatally shot himself.
Stefani, 46, was a coach on two seasons of The Voice but did not appear on the NBC competition series when Grimmie placed third in 2014.
