Guns N’ Roses are reliving the glory days with a brand new live film and Billboard has an exclusive early look at one of its most iconic performances.
Below, watch Axl Rose rock through the 1987 rock and roll classic “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” as it appears on the new film “Appetite For Democracy 3D: Live at the Hard Rock Casino – Las Vegas”:
The rockin’ live film debuted in theaters back on June 14, screened in one hundred different cities. The DVD/Blu-ray editions go on sale tomorrow (July 1), but for the next 24 hours, the clip above is your exclusive first peek at the first GNR live film since 1992’s “Use Your Illusion” and the band’s first 3D film ever.
Aside from this essential track, the film also includes performances of “Welcome To The Jungle,” “Mr. Brownstone,” “Paradise City,” “Nighttrain,” “It’s So Easy” and “Rocket Queen.” It also features songs like “This I Love” from 2008’s “Chinese Democracy” and covers of Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let Die,” Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” and Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2.” All performances come from Guns N’ Roses’ Nov. 2012 Las Vegas gig at the Hard Rock Casino.
“It’s been 22 years since the last GNR concert release and I’m very proud to have been chosen to produce this amazing 3D concert film/new DVD release,” Rock Fuel Media producer Barry Summers says. “A Grammy Nomination for ‘Best Long Form Video’ would be the icing on the cake for Axl and all involved, but we are very pleased with the overwhelming success and praise we are receiving.”
