Green Day is back with lucky album No. 13 on Friday (Feb. 7), and the alt-punk band has already been making its way back to the Billboard charts with the first two singles off Father of All Motherf–kers.
The title track dropped Sept. 10 and peaked at No. 3, and has thus far spent 19 weeks on the Alternative Songs chart. Meanwhile, “Oh Yeah!,” which arrived Jan. 15, has reached No. 15 in its thus far two weeks on the same chart.
It’s a strong start for the band, who already have 11 No. 1 songs on the Alternative Songs chart since their third studio album, Dookie, arrived in 1994. Lead single “Longview,” which made its debut in February that year, reached the top spot and was on the chart for 22 weeks. Subsequent singles from the Grammy-winning album all placed in the top 10, with “Basket Case” and “When I Come Around” nabbing the top spot.
