The Fader has scooped up two editors, one senior and one social, and a senior writer. Two of three come to the publications thanks to the shuttering of the much-respected Grantland and round of layoffs last November at Gawker.
Jason Parham, previously a senior editor with Gawker, has been named to the same position with Fader. Amos Barshad, previously a writer at Grantland, is taking the role of senior writer for the publication. Blaire Monroe, most recently social media editor for MTV News, has taken on the same role for Fader.
“Jason and Amos are smart, ambitious voices who I respect and trust.” said Fader editor-in-chief Naomi Zeichner in a statement. “I look forward to their coverage of politics, sports, race, technology — and music — as we continue to push things forward.”
