“Hold My Hand” is a spare, affecting ballad that originally appeared on Clark’s acclaimed 12 Stories, released in 2013. Yoakam — known for a string of tough, swinging honky-tonk albums that topped the country charts in the early ’90s — played guitar and provided tasteful harmonies.
Clark was nominated in the best new artist category; she lost to Sam Smith.
