GOT7 may be young, but they’ve got some wise advice for their fans. On the boy band’s new single “Just Right,” the guys have crafted an ode to their female fans that assures them their looks and weight are perfect whatever they are.
Not only are the lyrics a homerun (namely adorable lines where the septet say they can’t find “that unpretty spot you keep talking about”), “Just Right” is on-par with “A” as one of GOT7’s best singles to date. The laid-back hip-hop production is packed with woozy synths, warm guitar strums and finger snaps that are all capped off with a breezy dance breakdown of high-pitched “woo-oohs” that get easily stuck in the listener’s head.
The music video coincides with the lyrics as the boys play miniature men who tell a young, insecure girl why she’s “Just Right.” The guys look adorable as bite-sized boy band members as they float in a bowl of a cereal, get blown over by desk fans and dance for their leading lady on a table. And as if the lyrics weren’t swoon-worthy enough, GOT7 also show off their goofy side in this video, making weird expressions for camera and getting silly on the dance breakdown.
“Just Right” is the title track from the band’s new EP that includes six new tracks. GOT7 first bowed on a U.S. Billboard chart when their 2014 debut EP Got It? hit No. 1 on World Albums. The septet have since released their Got Love EP and Identity full-length, both which peaked at No. 6, marking a chart entry for all of their releases to date.
American fans will get to see GOT7 perform “Just Right” and their other singles when they hit Los Angeles for KCON 2015. Listen to a medley of the Just Right EP below:
