Good Charlotte and Simple Plan’s spring tour has been christened “Noise to the World” and will commence May 3 in Tulsa, Okla., Billboard.com has learned. The outing will run through June 1 in Charlotte, N.C., with modern rock act Relient K on board as the opening act.
Simple Plan will play a handful of headlining and radio station-sponsored shows on off days, including a tour warm-up on June 1 in Albany, N.Y., and five gigs yet to be confirmed on May 13-14, 20, 22 and 24.
Good Charlotte will be out behind its 2004 Epic album, “The Chronicles of Life and Death,” which debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 and has sold more than 913,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Simple Plan’s new Lava/Atlantic set “Still Not Getting Any” also debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 last fall. It has sold more than 978,000 copies to date.
Good Charlotte wraps a European tour tonight (March 29) and tomorrow in Dublin, while Simple Plan concludes a Far East swing tomorrow in Singapore. The group will also play three dates as part of the Vans Warped Tour in mid-July.
