Ben Goldman has been named senior VP of A&R at Columbia Records. Goldman reports to Steve Barnett, chairman of Columbia Records, and is based in New York.
Goldman moves to Columbia from Epic Records, where he was senior VP of A&R, since 2001. He joined Epic in 1990 as an intern in the A&R department. In 1992 he was named manager of A&R for Epic and, from 1995 to 1998, served as director of A&R for 550 Music. In 1998, he became VP of A&R at 550 Music. In 2001, he was named senior VP of A&R at Epic.
During his tenure at Epic, Goldman has worked with a variety of artists including Ben Folds Five, Fuel, Chevelle, Howie Day, and Matisyahu.
