Glee sang its last tune on Friday night. The Fox show, once a ratings behemoth and the kind of show selected to air after the Super Bowl, ended its six-season run very much in line with its recent Friday episodes.
Between 8 and 10 p.m, the two-hour ender averaged a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49 and 2.6 million viewers. Those mark the highest live-plus-same day numbers of the season, if only marginally, and an improvement from last year’s finale.

In its heyday, during the second season, Glee nabbed as high of a rating as a 5.9 in the key demo and 13.5 million viewers on the night of a broadcast. (Even with DVR, this last season has barely cracked the 1.0 rating mark.)
Unlike most nights this week, Friday’s original competition was thick. ABC had all new episodes of Last Man Standing (1.3 adults), Cristela (1.0 adults), Shark Tank (1.8 adults) and 20/20 (1.1 adults) — all steady with last week.

And CBS’ coverage of March Madness continued, albeit softer than its Thursday launch, getting a tentative 1.2 rating with adults 18-49 ahead of time zone adjustments. A steady Grimm moved to 8 p.m. with an average 1.1 rating in the key demo, airing before Dateline (1.3 adults).
Hart of Dixie held steady on the CW with a 0.4 rating in the demo.
