Elmar Giglinger, senior VP music channels, will be leaving MTV Networks in Berlin on Dec. 31. Details of his replacement are to be announced shortly.
“The almost nine years at MTV Networks were an extraordinary and exciting time for me in every respect and I would like to thank especially my team for the wonderful work together”, said Giglinger.
“We regret Elmar’s decision to leave the company,” commented Dan Ligtvoet, managing director MTV Networks North. “In him we are losing an important colleague, who made a major contribution to the success of the company in terms of both content and in entrepreneurial terms.”
Elmar Giglinger has been a member of the management team of MTV Networks since the beginning of 2000. He was responsible for the music channels MTV and VIVA, and also Comedy Central for a brief period.
MTV Networks Germany combines the MTV and VH1 music TV brands in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as NICK and Comedy Central, reaching more than 43 million German-speaking households.
