Versus, the secondary brand of Italian fashion house Versace, has announced Zayn Malik as the star in the Spring/Summer 2017 campaign. Shot by supermodel (and Malik’s girlfriend) Gigi Hadid, the campaign also includes British model and activist Adwoa Aboah.
Shot at the famous Chateau Marmont in L.A., the images are clumsy and candid, revealing a personal and intimate relationship between the three superstars that’s often missing in high-profile fashion campaigns. “It was extra special that Gigi shot the campaign,” Malik said in a press release.

Hadid used an iPhone and digital camera to capture her models, wearing fresh pieces from SS17, including Malik shirtless in a classic Versus leather jacket. “The Versus campaign captures everything that is special about ZAYN, Gigi and Adwoa,” Versace’s Donatella Versace explains in a release. “They are young people who define the mood of their generation with their honesty, energy and their love.”
For supermodel Hadid, this was her first photography gig, but most certainly isn’t her last — she’s slated to debut a photography portfolio in V Magazine’s May issue. As for Malik, the Versus collection he designed with Donatella drops this June.
