The fourth annual George Strait Country Music Festival tour will begin March 24 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. The 16-date run, which will wrap June 10 in San Antonio, Texas, will feature Strait, Alan Jackson, Lonestar, Lee Ann Womack, Brad Paisley, Sara Evans, and Asleep At The Wheel. The Chevy Truck-sponsored tour will also feature a second stage that has so far confirmed BR5-49.
Tickets for the first two shows — Tampa and Miami — will go on sale Feb. 10 via Ticketmaster. Tickets for the March 31 show in Phoenix go on sale Feb. 17. The tour’s official Web site will update on sale information for the remaining dates as it becomes available.
Three previous Strait fests have grossed a combined $90 million from 45 shows. The 2001 tour, like past outings, is produced by SFX.
Prior to the Strait tour, Jackson will begin a headlining arena outing Jan. 30 in Albany, N.Y. Evans and Womack will open.
