After a two-week hospitalization following his wife’s death, President George H.W. Bush got to enjoy a little treat from his new “HamFam,” aka the cast of Hamilton.
The 93-year-old took to Twitter on Tuesday (May 15) to share that he got to experience a private Hamilton concert in the comfort of his Texas office. “A complete joy to welcome the “HamFam” — the cast and crew of @HamiltonMusical — to our Houston office for a special performance I will never forget,” he wrote. “History never sounded so powerful.”

The post was Bush’s first public sighting since Barbara Bush’s funeral on April 21. The former president was hospitalized less than two days later for an infection, but was released on May 4.
