
We all know by now that Fetty Wap isn’t singing about apple pies in his hit song “Trap Queen,” but in a new cover version by child actor George Dalton, the whole song becomes one big pie-baking contest.

Dalton — who just starred in Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer prequel series as the camp DJ — puts a Meghan Trainor-esque retro vibe on the song and video and completely changes up the lyrics for his audience (he’s only 10 years old): “Strip club” becomes “strip mall,” “bando” becomes “condo,” and on and on.
Twitter is having a field day with the video, and Jezebel labeled it with this headline: “Here It Is, the Worst ‘Trap Queen’ Cover.” But we’ll let you judge the whole affair for yourself. One thing is undeniable: This kid’s video has serious production value.
Dalton’s video was originally posted back in July, but it resurfaced on Tuesday (Sept. 15) thanks to this Desus Nice tweet:
