Genius Products has signed a licensing agreement with Celluloid Distribution to create and distribute the new IFILM-branded DVD line.
The IFILM Network is an online entertainment site that offers short films, TV clips, music videos and videogame trailers.
IFILM-branded DVDs will be a collection of independent films in such genres as action, drama and family.
The companies intend to produce 24 IFILM DVDs each year. Each title will feature either one film and one short on a single DVD, or two films and two shorts in a two-DVD set.
The first IFILM titles are expected in the first quarter of 2005. Exact projects are not yet known.
Genius plans to distribute the titles to sell-through and rental markets.
