He just dropped the sultry “Maradona Riddim” with Niniola, but DJ Snake already has another musical offering in the chamber ready to blow. Next up seems to be a collaboration with French Montana and New York’s Gashi. It’s a spicy, downtempo romance vibe, as evidenced in this quick clip Gashi shared of his verse on social media.
If the song’s lovey-dovey lyrics aren’t cute enough for ya, you’re sure to melt once you realize Gashi’s mom is in the backseat singing along. It seems like a fun song to hit as summer melts into the cooler months of fall, but we don’t yet know when the song is slated for release.
Snake has been quite busy since he announced a new album in the works earlier this year. He’s collaborated with tons of cross-genre musicians, from dance artists like Yellow Claw and Mercer to rappers like Jermaine Dupri. It’s also been confirmed that Cardi B will make an appearance on the forthcoming LP. There isn’t a release date for the album yet, but you can try to hold yourself over with this snippet from Gashi of the new song below.
You can also hold yourself over on a live performance from DJ Snake and his collaborator French Montana, as both hit the stage for Billboard Hot 100 Festival in New York City the weekend of Aug. 18 and 19. Tickets are on sale now.
