Chris Gannett has been promoted to VP of strategic marketing for Sony BMG’s Commercial Music Group. Gannett reports to David Santaniello, senior VP of strategic marketing for the group, and is based in New York.
In his new role, Gannett will continue to guide strategic marketing efforts in support of the Commercial Music Group’s goal of identifying and launching new initiatives. He joined Legacy Recordings in 2006 as senior director of marketing and strategic partnerships.
His prior experience includes four years on Wall Street as a VP of Citigroup’s markets and banking unit, and the seven years prior, he held a variety of advertising and brand management positions with companies such as Kraft Foods, Cadbury Schweppes, and Publicis USA.
