
Future‘s Monster mixtape is set to be released sometime today, Oct. 28, and the downloadable follow-up to April’s no. 2 album Honest has a new video to hype us up. The clip’s for “Hardly,” and it’s directed by Future himself.
The sparse production pays tribute to Future’s friend OG Double D, an Atlanta MC who was gunned down in early 2013 at the age of 42. After a big IN MEMORY OF OG DOUBLE D title card, the self-described rhymer is shown in a black-and-white video bit from the archives. The rest of the “Hardly” clip continues eulogizing OG Double D while Future raps in a white room, contemplating and dancing over an emotional cut that could slide in next to Honest‘s title track and the Kanye West–featuring “I Won.” Check it out here:
