A new wave of participants in this year’s South by Southwest has been announced, including multiple artists spanning various genres — from buzz acts to established artists.
Rappers Future and Chance the Rapper will grace the festival’s various stages, as will lo-fi indie rocker Kurt Vile, Rolling Stone reports.

The March festival is also set to feature Schoolboy Q, Tech N9ne, Bob Mould, J. Roddy Walston & the Business, Sun Kil Moon’s Mark Kozalek, the Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Warpaint, former Girls frontman Christopher Owens and many more artists, many of whom are more of the indie variety.
The just-announced lineup joins a flurry of musicians already scheduled to make an appearance in Austin, including Los Lonely Boys, Les Claypool, Charli XCX, Rodney Crowell and Gary Numan.
Actual performances will take place alongside entrants into the festival’s film division, featuring Jimi Hendrix biopic “Jimi: All is By My Side,” plus documentaries on A$AP Rocky and Memphis soul.
More lineup announcements — including potential heavy-hitters — are expected closer to the festival itself.
The music portion of South by Southwest will be held March 11-16 in Austin, Texas.
